ABOUT
Matteo Adams is a classically trained tenor from Beaumont, Texas; with a Bachelor of Music in Voice from Oberlin Conservatory and a Master’s of Music in Opera from New York University. Recent engagements include Touring Outreach with Portland Opera as Don Ramiro in La Cenerentola, a Studio Artist with Central City Opera, an Apprentice Artist with Sarasota Opera, and as an Emerging Artist with St. Petersburg Opera covering the role of Arturo in Lucia di Lammermoor. He will be returning to Sarasota Opera to cover the role of Don Curzio in Le Nozze di Figaro this coming winter.

A core chorus member with Opera Philadelphia, Matteo is excited
to continue his work with the company in their fall production of The Listeners by Missy Mazzoli and with other Young Artist programs throughout the country.
Matteo was also one of the five singers to be featured in a Documentary Film produced in collaboration with Victory Hall Opera, “YAPs”, which is set to be released in the spring of 2025
